In early October of 2012 GLDD was awarded a $15.6 million contract for the re-nourishment of three New Jersey beaches. Also in early October of 2012 GLDD was awarded a $16.4 million for a reconstruction project in North Carolina. GLDD reported weaker then expected results for its fiscal 2012 third quarter. However, a portion of the expected revenue and gross margin has been pushed into the fiscal fourth quarter, which the company believes will be a record strong quarter. The company believes additional work from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy is a very strong possibility, especially as add on's to the current projects they already have. Management did mention in its third quarter 2012 conference call that additional contracts are likely but, that the timing of the contracts is uncertain. We will monitor the GLDD story to see if additional work comes their way due to the effects from Hurricane Sandy.
